The ‘Bellview’ inspired exhibition

Gracetown local and 2020 Margaret River HEART exhibitor Jenny Potts Barr will host her third solo digital art show in the South West next month at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery.

Launching on April 2 in the Fourth Gallery, Ever Evers: Of Other Loves and Landscapes experiments in visual poetry and contemporary drawing by the unrepresented South West regional artist, and features the poetry of Miriam Wei Wei Lo.

Comprised of lifesize to intimate scale digital drawings on paper, Jenny said her upcoming exhibition has been two years in the making and is an undefined ‘scape’ where imagination and autobiography mix.

“This series of vector drawings gather the language of drawing and print, childhood recollections, sayings and literary reference together,” she said.

“The exhibition moves between a private shell museum called ‘The Bellview’, the imaginary headlands of poetry and the actual headlands of my home in Cowaramup Bay.”

Jenny’s new works build on her first solo show, This Hopeful Shack, which was inspired by life in Gracetown and opened at the Margaret River HEART one week before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020.

Ever Evers: Of Other Loves and Landscapes can be viewed in the Fourth Gallery from April 2 until June 6.
