Film festival wags its tail
Talented pooches will leap across the Margaret River HEART big screen on October 1 in a two-hour cinematic celebration honouring the bond between dogs and their people.
The 5th annual Top Dog Film Festival will showcase eight tail-wagging short films from independent filmmakers around the globe.
Adventure Reels CEO and Festival Director Jemima Robinson said the 2021 program is guaranteed to pull on your heartstrings with a carefully curated selection of films of varying lengths and styles.
“The festival looks at the lighter side of the pet-owner relationship and shares stories of people who dedicate their lives to improving the outcomes for man’s best friend,” Robinson said.
“The evening will be filled with many delightfully doggy moments, plus a special guest appearance from two furry four-legged friends.
“We hope guests leave the screening with a heart full of love and admiration for the dogs in their life.”
Audiences will meet dogs from all walks of life on the big screen, including a dancing poodle, a New Zealand sheep dog, Nordic sled dogs and more.
Following the success of the sell-out Banff Film Festival earlier this year, the venue will deliver several film festivals throughout October, including the Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour and a HEART entreprenerd French Film Festival.
