A Taste of Ireland to shake your shamrocks
The Irish music and dance sensation A Taste of Ireland is touring over 90 cities and towns across Australia this year and will have the Margaret River HEART crowd laughing, crying and jigging into the night on Saturday 3 July.
The all-singing, all-dancing Irish extravaganza features a company of over 20, including some of the world’s leading Irish dancers, musicians and stars from infamous shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
With a New York premiere prior to COVID-19 disruptions in early 2020 and the delivery of 130 shows across Australia and New Zealand in 2019, A Taste of Ireland Producer and Director Brent Pace said he has no doubt the 2021 Australian tour will provide audiences with what they have been missing over the past year.
“Australians have always loved the live theatre experience and our show delivers everything audiences love,” he said.
“I think a lot of what we believe to be Aussie humour really came from Ireland. There’s a lot of cultural crossover. That’s why Australian audiences relate so well to Irish craic.
“A Taste of Ireland delivers the fun and humour that encompasses that true Irish experience.”
Co-Producer and A Taste of Ireland Star Ceili Moore said the company has the best local Australian talent and a few major stars from the international dance world.
“We are extremely proud of the company we have assembled for our 2021 tour,” she said.
“One of the show’s lead dancers Tyler Watkins is a six times Queensland State Champion and has represented Australia in the World Championships five times.”
With revamped classics like Danny Boy and Tell Me Ma, the show’s live, energetic blend of jaw-dropping a cappella tap battles, world-class dancing, melodic folk music mashups and craic galore, will transport you through the story of Irelands tumultuous history.
