Ben Elton’s new comedy tour kicks off in Margaret River

Comedian Ben Elton will kick off his Live 2021 Australian tour on March 30, hitting the Margaret River HEART stage for his first live show here in 15 years.

Back in 2019, Elton announced that he would tour Australia with a brand-new stand-up comedy show in 2020, Ben Elton Live, but with the unexpected hurdles of COVID-19 his tour was pushed back.

As the country’s restrictions continue to ease, Ben Elton – Live 2021 has added new tour dates with eight new stops across Australia.

Elton said the last time he toured he was still smarter than his phone.

“Things have definitely taken a funny turn,” he said.

Elton last performed stand up in Australia in 2006 but returned to the stage with a totally sold out 75 date UK tour in 2019, drawing rave reviews.

He exploded onto the comedy scene more than 30 years ago, hosting Channel 4’s ground-breaking Saturday Live. Since then Elton has achieved huge success as a stand-up comic, author, playwright, actor and director.

Community members looking for a laugh are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets online at to avoid missing out on seeing the comedian, screenwriter and best-selling author in Margaret River for one night only.

Alternatively, the HEART Box Office is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday to purchase tickets over the counter or by phone on (08) 9780 5294.

Standard Tickets are $49.90 and go on sale to the general public Wednesday February 10 at 9:00am (AWST).
